For Medical Cost Sharing

Medical Cost Sharing is a non-insurance approach, there for your unforeseen illness and injuries. When a Member has a medical Need, the Sedera Medical Cost Sharing Community steps in to help share the costs when they total over a specific amount.

A “Need” is one or more medical expenses caused by a single accident or illness. Members first meet an Initial Unshareable Amount up to $500 or $1500 according to their membership type. After the IUA is paid by the Member, their Need is eligible for sharing with the Community. During each membership year, after an individual’s third Need (or fifth when more than 1 person is participating) any medical expenses that following during the same membership year are shared with a $0 IUA.
